L os Angeles' Dreaming Dead are a quickly rising force in extreme metal, garnering significant national and international attention over the short two years the band has been together. Fronted and founded by Elizabeth Schall, Dreaming Dead released their first recording in the summer of 2006: a four-song demo entitled "Through the Eyes of Insanity" under the previous band name of Manslaughter. The reviews for that release were stellar, leaving listeners aching for more of the blackened, death-thrash attack that they find to be reminiscent of Death, Slayer, Cryptopsy, and Opeth. "Impressive", "devastating", "technically precise", and "great debut" are not terms to be thrown around lightly. Fresh off the recording of their debut album "Within One"— due out on Ibex Moon Records January 20th 2009
